Mom and Dad drove on Wednesday to drop Stella off at Pan's house, and while there, picked Guinness up and brought him home! He is still very shy, so Mom hasn't gotten any pictures yet. Our Last Weekend All Together...

Mom's been crying, saying things like, "I don't know how I am going to let them go..." She told Daddy that he was going to have to be a "pillar of strength, the voice of reason for her."

But this picture explains how we have lived together for the past three months, aside the time Mom made us live in Jail with our Meezermama, Stella (Remember "Not Hott!" when the Mini-Meezers agreed with Miss. Hilton?). We have become a close, loving family, full of fake mousies, homemade chicken and rice, many, many bed washings, and oodles of snuggles and scritches...

We are big boys and girls now! We went on our first field trip to see the doctor! We didn't even cry when the doctor gave us shots! All in all, not a terrible experience, but we don't want to go back, because it was cold in there!

Mom's a Slacker

Ok, some things have been going on around here, and Mom is a complete and utter slacker...

First, she missed Kaia's birthday on September 15. Well...she even missed posting on her own birthday this morning. The kittens need to be wrote about, Celeste is getting big, Stella has been reintroduced to the family after spending the better part of the last eight weeks in Mom's bedroom, and the kittens are going to the VET tomorrow! How scarey! They are due for their first shots so that they can remain healthy...

THEN, after they get those shots, they are allowed out of Mom's bedroom. Celeste says they can help with the chores, so she can relax more. Maybe someone will want to take over the laundry duties by sitting on the warm dry clothes to make sure that they are warm enough. And maybe another Mini-Meezer will want to help Mom make dinner. Taste-testing is actually fun some days!

And, we believe that we finally have enough Meezers in this household to thwart Mom's "keeping of the Temptations in the pantry". Surely, between all of us, we can fugure out where they are and eat them all before she finds out!!!

Everyday is Labor Day to a Cat

Labor, I know Labor. Well, not like Stella, but I know what it's like to have to do everything! Let's see, for one, I have to cry to tell Mama that it's time for more Stinky Goodness. Isn't there a rule that Stinky Goodness never ends??? Hmmm...What else? I have to cry to be picked up. How wrong is that? And then, if there is a door shut, I have to tell someone to open it. My Humans are not quick as I would like, either...And WHY was the door shut in the first place???

Then there are chores. I have to do that, too. I have to do laundry. I have to sit on it to make sure that the clothes got warm enough. I have to cook dinner. I have to taste the chicken to see if it is eatable. I mop the floor, but, truthfully, I really don't like this, so I usually leave when it is half done. I make the KidBean's lunches. One must watch to see that they don't fill their lunches with only Temptations--I mean "cookies".

This list goes on and on...And right now, I have to go get a cup of coffee...

We are ten days old today! Mom is the best Mommy. We are sleeping a little more between feedings, so Mom gets to walk around for exercise. That makes her feel better. We are more than twice as big as we were when we were born! We have met Celeste, Kaia, and Nicky once when they sniffed the crate, but that's it. We look forward to being able to play with them one day! Our personalities are developing. One of us is a squealer and one of us is very sweet and easygoing...We know you miss all the other Meezers, and Mom will post on them, too.

The Long-awaited Birthday Story

Stella was acting strange, very, very clingy, and needed me to be lying with her on my bed and petting and talking to her at all times...I knew something was changing....I couldn't feel any contractions, per se, but she was restless and could not get comfortable for longer that about three minutes...This went on from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon...At 2:30, she definitely had a contraction, as this one made her growl and immediately, she got up from my lap to look at me like:
"WHAT WAS THAT?"

I knew it was time for her to go to the birthing crate. When placed in there, she didn't want to settle for a moment, but I stayed there, caressing and sweet-talking her, and she lied down and began to push...NOW, I was a wreck...A complete and utter wreck...I called my breeder to let her know that Stella had gone into labor...She pushed for two contractions and two little feet appeared! Now, I was REALLY nervous...Her first baby was breech! But, after two more contractions, the first Mini-Meezer made its way into the world at 2:57 P.M. The birth of the first baby really confused her, but she didn't have time to think too long, because seven minutes later, Mini-Meezer number two entered the world! I was helping her to clean and stimulate the first baby, and she handled the second baby all on her own...

There was an hour and twenty minute lull before the arrival of baby three, which she needed, so she could properly clean the first two. Baby three arrived, and Stella absolutely was a Champ, and knew exactly what to do. And finally, after a 40 minute rest, baby four made its way into the world...

I wasn't sure if she was finished, but after the birth of baby four, she seemed content to rest and let them begin nursing...I stayed with her for a couple more hours, just to make sure that she wasn't having a long rest, but when she was settling and sleeping, I left her to bond with her babies...

It was the most beautiful experience! I am so proud of Stella! She is a wonderful, attentive Mother. I could not have asked for a better birthing experience for her and for myself! She was in active labor for only two hours! She got down to business and birthed babies equal to a seasoned mother!

I thank you ALL for you kind thoughts, prayers, and purrs...They mean more than you will ever know! I love this cat with my life, and I am so very proud to call her 'My Baby'...

Thursday Thirteen #15: The Waiting Game

Well, it's day 66, and still no babies...So what is a girl to do while waiting???

Blog, of course. It is very comforting to know that so many of my friends are excited about the impending arrival of my Mini Meezers!
Chat on the cat forum...The people are very helpful on the board.
EAT! And beg Mom for more and more stinky goodness.
Completely hog Mom's lap. She prefers me there, anyway, because she can keep a close eye on me. And being the genius kitty I am, I have figured out that if I am NOT in her lap, she puts me in the birthing crate, A.K.A. JAIL!
Poop. See number three...
Purr. I am in a surprisingly great mood for being so...ummm...."plump".
Eat. Oh, did I already mention this???
Follow Mom around the house where ever she goes. This is a must!
Snuggle with Mom. She has been very good to stay right near me this whole week. I've gotten lots of extra snuggles and lots and lots of petting, which really makes a girl feel special!
Cry in the birthing crate. I HATE it in there. I try to bite my way out every time I am in there. I feel ya, Paris Hilton...I know what it feels like to be in jail...It's NOT "Hott!"
Pace around. Just a little...Not too much, because if I do, I know I will go back to jail. (not "Hott!")
Eat...Crap, I think I already mentioned this...

It's Day 42! As you can plainly see, the left side of my tummy is a little larger than my right side. I like to sleep in an awkward position now...It's kind of sitting up. I lay over my Mom, but leave my back paws on the bed. I will stay that way for as long as Mom will let me. I will only be allowed to sleep like this for a little while longer, because in a week, I will be going into my crate during the nighttime. Mom said that I will be able to walk around for exercise and to blog, of course.

I can't show my face today, because I feel aweful! Mom and Celeste were snuggling last night in the Big Girl Bed watching The Cosby Show, and I jumped up there. At first, everything was cool...I was just hanging, but then I decided that I wanted to snuggle where Celeste was, so I stalked her!!! I was just starring and starring, all the while, Mom is watching me...She didn't think I would have done what I did, but I ATTTTACCCCKED Celeste. Mom had to pull us apart! And then the Big Bad thing is: I DREW BLOOD!!!! Multiple times on Mom! On her arm, on her hand, on an unmentionable part, too! She was very, very, very mad at me! Celeste was just sleeping, and I took advantage of her. I am a bad girl...Mom had to change the sheets, of which she already did earlier that day, and wash them, so the blood did not ruin them...Then she kicked me out of the Big Girl Room.

I have tried to make up this morning, because I know I Done a Bad Thing! But Mom doesn't seem ready to make up yet...Her hand still hurts...When did I turn into such a bad girl? I am very ashamed...therefore, you all see why I cannot show my face today...Please forgive me...

Stella's Belly

Stella is JUST beginning to show. We wanted to share her first belly pictures with all of you! Mom had to snap the photos in under a minute, so they may not be the best quality...Stella doesn't want to model much lately.
(Stella here) I do not understand why this woman insists on toturing me with that dang flashy box. I just want to sleep and be left alone, except when I want to snuggle with Mom. I do not want to snuggle with those other cats...I will get kinda close to Celeste throughout the night, because she insists that she sleep right next to Mom, too...which is my spot...which I am not giving up!

Enjoy my belly...It is getting a little bigger day by day...I know it may be hard to tell a difference, but there is a small one. In these pictures, I am at day 31. I should be visably showing by day 40...Unfortunately, I am sure that Mom will get more pictures of my belly, as it grows!!!

There are so many cool things to play with! Pens, her phone, paper, my toys to name a few...

The lamp that is on her desk is great, too. Because when I am tuckered out from all that playing, it keeps me warm as I nap.

And best of all, my Mom is sitting right there near me, keeping me company!!!

Mom finally caught me with the flashy box. I have never been a great model, because I run when the flashy box comes after me. So then, most of my photos make me look like I am being abused, when in reality, I am just really mad. This attitude has gotten even worse, since my hormones are completely out of whack. I may look peaceful, but I really, really want to run and hide! Hope Everycat's Saturday is a peaceful one!

Stella's going to be a Mommy!!!
We have the conformation this week that Stella will indeed be a Mommy very soon! The first physical sign of a pregnant cat is called "pinking". Mom thought she saw this start to happen on Monday, and it was pretty apparent by Tuesday, but wanted to give it a few more days to be sure. We are all convinced now. Stella is due July 25, 2007. W00 Hoo! Dragonheart!!!! You're going to be an Uncle!!!

From my limited perspective, I sense that things are a little weird around here...

Kaia and Stella are fighing. The really weird thing is that Kaia is seeking Stella out and starting it. It's like she Nipped Up or something, though I'm sure that's not the case. Stella just wants to be left alone, and when others get too close, she lets them know it: "Too CLOSE!!!" ::swat::!!!

Nicky is certain that he doesn't like the D-O-G, because he keeps PEEEEEEEING on Gracie's bed. I don't like her, either, so I just sit back and giggle. I stop giggling when Mom gets mad that she has to wash the dog bed AGAIN...

For now, I am just sitting back and watching everyone go nuts. I think someone should but me a halo or something, because it is obvious that I am the ONLY Angel around this place....

Celeste's First Five Days Home

My First 5 Days In My New FOREVER Home...My Mom was very glad when I got tagged for this, because 1. It is purrrrfect timing, and 2. When she read over DMM's answers, she realized how quickly she could forget these special few days. Thank you to Daisy Mae Maus for tagging me!

1st day: I woke up as normal, and the first fishy thing that happened is that my breeder didn't feed me too much breakfast. I love to eat, so this was rather wierd. Then that lady that came to kidnap Peter Pan two weeks earlier CAME BACK! That was strange. Kidnap Lady brought the kidnapped cat back....So, I had to investigate her. When she had come to get Pan earlier, I bit her toes. Obviously, I needed to do more this time. So, Pan was swept away and put in the cat room, and the lady stayed and talked with my breeder for a bit. I started getting less nervous, so I went off to play. My Furmom, Indy, and Fursister, Elise, seemed to like her A LOT. My guard was now let down. And I was hungry.

Next thing that I remember was an exchange of paper, and that lady started smiling at ME! Uh Oh....I was scooped up in the Purple Prizzen Box, and out to the Silver-Demon-Machine I went. The lady came to kidnap me! UGHHHHH! Now, what peturbed me most about this was the Prizzen Box. I HAAAATE it! I tried to bite my way out of it, but the Kidnap Lady said we had a long drive to "Home". No, we didn't, my "Home" was right around the corner. So, I didn't know what in the heck she was talking about. Next thing that I remember was the smell of French Fries. Hmmm...Yummy! Didn't this Kidnap Lady know I was starving!!! She must have sensed it, because she gave me a fry. I licked it a bit, but did not eat it. And we were off on the open road...

I fussed and had a major temper tantrum next, because I was NOT going to be in this Purple Prizzen Box for this "long ride home." Nope. Not I!!! The kidnap Lady let me out, and then I settled in her lap. It was my only choice, however...I slept for a while.

What woke me was the gun fire!!! At least, that is what I thought it was in my delerium. We were in a HURRICAINE!!!! Admittedly, I was a little afraid, but not enough to go back into the Purple Prizzen Box. This lady had other plans...Crap...She put me back in the box, claiming it was for my "safety" that I needed to be in there. Whatever. She did let me back out after about a squillion hours when the hurricaine blew over. (And it was a hurricaine--I'm not exaggerating--Ok, well, a little...the Weather Man said it was a tropical depression.)

FINALLY, we arrived "Home". Looked nice. It didn't seem strange on first glance. We went inside. It was early evening. A good thing happened. The lady fed me! Heaps of Stinky Goodness, too. "Ok," I resolved, "I like this lady." Then the "Ones Who Came Before" began to lurk...sniff...HISS...finally, to run and hide, content to spy on me from a carefully determined distance. Fine with me, if they wanted to be snooty. I walked around a bit, and then this "Mom" Lady, as she was calling herself, scooped me up and off to the Big Girl Bed, we went. I was pooped, so I succummed. Sweet Dreams...

2nd day: I found Stella's hiding place when she came home. At least, that is what Mom Lady said when she found me in the bottom drawer when she woke up this morning. She fed me breakfast, and then I was allowed to roam my new home, when suddenly, I spotted it!!! It was a D-O-G. Nope. I am NOT going to like her, that "Gracie". Thankfully, she responded favorably to my Big, Bad HISS, and went away. Nick, Kaia, & Stella watched me from that carefully determined distance. And that was OK with me. I learned how to Blog today! That was fun! I am going to like being an Internet Celebrity. Stinky Goodness Time was wonderful tonight!

3rd day: Today, I crept in and out of Mom's bedroom adjusting to not being able to run away from strange new cats. The Carefully Determined Distance became a little smaller. We sniffed each other, including our butts to identify who was whom. Mom played with me on the Big Girl Bed. And she bought me a Catnip Mousie toy like I had at my breeders house. I threw it up in the air and caught it many times. Kaia watched on the bed, too. I learned that she likes Catnip toys, too! She tried to steal my Catnip Mousie toy, and things got ugly for a minute. I won. She lost. Haha!

4th day: Not afraid at all today. Prowled around, Hissed a little, and Puffed up to the "Ones Who Came Before" to re-establish household pecking order. Became a with which force to be reckoned. Muahhhhhh!!!! Stella still isn't liking me, but from what I have noticed, she doesn't like anyone these days, except Mom. She's a little testy. Mom says that we should all just leave her alone, because she prefers sleeping a lot these days. OK, whatever. Kaia and Stella nearly got in a fight. I watched, giggled, and returned to Mom's lap after she broke it up. I met my new BFF, Fiona! We are going to be best girlfriends! More Stinky Goodness tonight. Yum!

5th day: Since Stella is sleeping so much, I effectively claimed Mom's lap as Mine! (Well, it's ALL mine, as everyone is quickly learning.) I participated in my first Thursday Thirteen! What fun! Mom set her new desk up today, and I helped. She made a few cubbies, in which I can play with toys and nap around her new "kitty-friendly" desk. And guess what??? Kaia and Nicky let me snuggle with them tonight! I really love my new Forever Home, but I love my Mom even more. She is the best Mommy, and I am very happy that she kidnapped me five days ago.
